Agriculture

The Dikome Balue area is blessed with very fertile volcanic soils because of the presence of the Rumpi mountains. The indigenes of this area are predominantly farmers who solely depend on their produce for a living. Cash crops grown here include Cocoa, coffee(arabica) and Tea. Beside these cash crops, a variety of other vegetables and tubers are widely grown for consumption.
Farming is mostly by bush fallowing. And rudimentary agricultural techniques are applied limiting the productivity. It should be noted that there are no oxen to plough the soils for large cultivation, limiting the size of each farmland.
