Road

It is well defined that roads breed development and roads in equatorial areas are always bad during the rainy season. Reasons being that there is constant rain for close to 8 months. Rainy seasons start from April to November. But in Dikome Balue, this is not the case where rains start as early as February and stop by December. In reality there are only 6 weeks of what can be called dry season in Dikome.
In addition to the rainy nature of the area, there is also the propensity of Road contractors not having proper knowledge and feasibility studies of the roads. For this area to have a good road network, there is need for feasibility studies to be carried out during rainy season rather than dry season.

From the picture above it clearly shows that a place like this will become worse during the rainy season or even cut off the road entirely.
The Dikome - Kumba  road has distinct seasonal bad spots. Starting from Big Ekombe, 3 corners Mofako Bekondo, Big Masaka to Dikome. We have the following earmarked bad spots as shown below with photos.

Titimbe ( Hill located between Lokando Mbonge and Mofako Balue) along the Kumba - Dikome Road.

The main reason for the deplorable nature of this road is because there are no ditches to direct flowing water. When it rains, the water flows along the road, eroding it as it flows.
