Water Supply
Dikome Balue has one of the best Sources of fresh water in the entire country. This region harbours the source of a good number of Cameroon's rivers eg Meme, Ndian, Mongo etc. There are 12 fast flowing streams, 4 springs and 3 brooks which seldom dry during the dry season.
Despite the clean and fast flowing nature of these streams, the indigenes are exposed to water borne diseases because these streams are never treated.

If these streams and water catchments are well catered for, they can be resourceful to the indigenes.
Portable water in Dikome Balue despite its untreated nature
Although Dikome Balue is considered an enclaved and neglected area by the Government of Cameroon , we are pleading with the international community to come to our aid before a pandemic waterborne disease wipes this entire indigeneous village in Cameroon.
We do not have access to clean and treated water. When the catchment dries off, the indigenes turn to the streams as the only source of fresh water as shown in the pictures below

This is neither a well nor a bore hole. But it is a Brook blocked with blocks to permit fetching of fresh water easily.

During the dry season which lasts for just 02 months, these dependable sources of fresh water dry off.
